0.3 Birthdays and Snowmen

We're here again for another edition of Wishing Upon a Star! We'll start this chapter off on a celebratory note, it's time for Archimedes' toddler birthday! As always, Ella's on cake duty while Walt enthusiastically cheers them on.

Toddler Archie! He got a slightly lighter version of his dad's skintone and his dad's eyes to go with his mama's blonde hair.

Archimedes was also gifted with an Imaginary Friend. His was named Mad Madam Mim.

Ella gets Archimedes started on his toddler skilling. As usual, potty-training is one of the first things tackled. No dirty diapers in this house!

A small, adorable break in the toy-box while mommy gives into her OCD and cleans the entire house from top to bottom.

Then it was on to walking!

That night just happened to be Spooky Day, and Walt got put on candy duty. This is one of the Chesterfield boys, dressed up as a robber. He was our only Trick-or-Treater. :(

After a busy day of skilling, it was bedtime for Archie. His pajama onesie has owls on it. :P

Aladdin was still wide awake and ready for bottle-fed supper. As you can see from the book, he's still working on the toddler books.

But nothing comes between Aladdin and his bottle. There are many like it, but this one is his.

In his downtime Genius Archimedes likes 'playing' with the peg box, working on that Logic skill.

Out in the kitchen, it's finally time for the last member of the Disney family to come into the world. Ella is . . . excited . . . .

Yay pink blanket!! Everyone meet Aurora Disney! Aurora is a Friendly girl who Loves the Outdoors. She enjoys Indie music, Stu Surprise and the color Spice Brown.

Aurora is, of course, named for this lovely lady, the main character in the film Sleeping Beauty.

After giving birth for the last time, Ella sits back down with Archimedes and gets him started on talking.

In the meantime daddy Walt is on infant duty. He's very smitten with his miniature princess.

However that night, as a frost settles over the town of Hidden Springs, Walt is strangely drawn outside . . . .

Alien Abduction!! And for once it's not Ella! Poor thing gets abducted every other day, and I'm not exaggerating.

Even though I don't want any more kids I was kind've hoping for 'Unexpected Weight Gain.' Unfortunately we didn't get it. D:

ALIEN - Um . . . I'll call you?

WALT - Please don't.

Aladdin would just like to remind you that he's still here, and still adorably precious.

ALADDIN - What? What is this?!

ARCHIMEDES - Yeah, I've got this heir poll in the bag.

Maybe, maybe not. For now, it's time for the eldest Disney to leave his toddler days behind him.

Mama Ella helps to blow out the candles. Walt is, as always, SUPER excited about it.

Aladdin manages his transition into childhood with little fuss and a lot of flair, rolling the Computer Whiz trait. His favorite color is pink, and he's man enough to pull it off. XD

Thanks to a royalty check or two, the Disneys had enough simoleons to add two new rooms onto the house. A bedroom for Aladdin and a laundry room.

Only a day into his child years and Aladdin is already endearing himself to me by helping out with his little brother.

He's also been nominated to be my portrait slave. His very first painting is shaping up to be epic, if that trademark hat and green tube is any indication.

Hey look, it's our founder, Walt! Why is this picture significant? Well it just so happens that his novels Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Fantasia combined where enough to net him 4,000 a week in royalties, which officially completed his LTW of Professional Author! Wow, that was pretty easy. O_o Still, point for the scorecard!

The bonuses he got from promotions were enough to buy Aladdin a birthday gift, his very own computer.

This pleased him greatly.

I finally remembered Abu stuffed in his inventory. As soon as I moved the doll to the floor he came to life.

ALADDIN - Abu! It's already winter and it hasn't snowed even once! If it doesn't snow I can't build a snowman, and if I can't build a snowman my life is OVER.

ABU - . . . fascinating.

What Aladdin didn't know was that it had, indeed, been snowing all night long. Which was then perfect occasion to hang some holiday lights.

Al? Shouldn't you be wearing your coat?

ALADDIN - It blocks out the awesomeness of the snow, and I must experience it to the fullest!

He certainly does Love the Cold.

Surprise! It's another birthday! We got 'em rolling right along here in the Disney house.

Everyone say hello to cutie-pie toddler Aurora! She got mama's eyes and daddy's hair and skintone.

AURORA - Am . . . am I doing this right? This is so nerve-wracking.

ARCHIMEDES - Don't worry sis, you'll get the hang of it.

Aurora too got herself an Imaginary Friend, this time named Merryweather.

Aladdin has discovered that he is not a fan of homework. Especially when he could be outside building a snowman instead. Grades first, mister.

Big kid that he is, Walt was outside constructing his first igloo.

And of course, once built it needed an appropriate 'stress test.'

When the igloo's rockin, don't come knockin.

Ella's started Aurora on her walking, but she's not really into it much. Almost half-way up the bar and she has yet to actually walk. Just sits back down in silent protest.

Archimedes is all skilled up at this point, and started his book learning instead.

And at last, it's FINALLY time for Ella to go back to work!

Walt gets to take over baby training duty, and look at this! First try with him, and Aurora takes her first steps. I'm not saying she plays favorites but . . . yeah, Aurora's a shameless daddy's girl.

That afternoon after school, I finally gave in and allowed Aladdin to build his snowman.

He was quite successful at it too, building the 'classic' style one.

This girl followed him home from school. I THINK her name is Sabrina Cho? Her very almond-shaped eyes make me almost positive she's from the Cho family.

SABRINA - Wishing on stars is silly, and pointless. Only hard work and determination make dreams come true.

ALADDIN - Your pessimism is boring me.

They did homework together and 'bonded.'

It was here that I was able to purchase the new nursery set that comes with the changing table. Walt and Aurora are the first to try it out.

AURORA - I'm new to this daddy, but I'm almost sure you were supposed to take my clothes off BEFORE you put me in the soapy water . . .

I think the process is over and done with so fast that my computer doesn't have a chance to render the clothing change, lol. Still, the interactions are very cute, I like it. Much more satisfying than tossing them up into the air for a two-second whirlwind.

After taking Ella on her annual abduction, the alien decided to stick around for a bit and build his own snowman.

It turned into an alien snowman, unsurprisingly.

It was the weekend, which meant cold-loving Aladdin got to spend all day outside engaging in all sorts of snow-related activities. At least until I chained him back up to the easel. Those portraits aren't going to paint themselves!

When it was time for homework he decided to ask his father to help.

WALT - Son, do you think it's such a good idea for us to do this out here, sitting in waist-deep snow?

ALADDIN - It helps my creative process.

Ella worked with Aurora on her talking, the last of her needed skills.

ELLA - Can you say computer mouse, sweetie? Computer? You know, that thing over there that your daddy pays more attention to than he does mommy?

Ella might be dealing with some issues, but birthdays wait for no one. It's time for her to transition into a full-fledged adult.

She makes the transition successfully, complete with a few new wrinkles and a big fat Mid-Life Crisis.

While that's going on, Walt steps in to put his little princess to bed.

Then makes time to pamper his big princess. He may or may not have overheard the talking-session earlier. Also, they're in the bathroom, so you know what's coming up next. That's right, shower woo-hoo, ftw.

I didn't think it was possible for this painting to be more epic than a rendition of Mario. I was wrong. Because it's Burt and Ernie COSPLAYING Mario and Luigi and that's almost too much win to handle. It promptly went up on the wall.

Tag-team parenting. Walt and Ella have also made their favorites well-known.

And it was now time for mama's little prince to join his older brother in the freedom of childhood. As you can also see, I finally remembered to download the custom birthday cake colors. I've been meaning to do that for months.

Archimedes is successful in becoming a quite handsome little boy, and somehow managing to roll the Kleptomaniac trait.

ARCHIMEDES - CAKE . . . I would stuff you in my pocket and steal you, but that would just delay the inevitable of your deliciousness ending up in my tummy.

That's it for this round! Join us next time as the A generation continues to grow. See what other mischief the Disneys can manage to get into. Until then, Happy Simming!

    1. :D I was quite stunned at the awesomeness of that painting. And I'm glad we got at least one girl, too! I was gonna be ticked if I didn't get to use at least ONE of those A names. Aladdin . . . he owns the color pink, that's all I can say. :D
